
Amy Weber, has been a substance abuse counselor at PNLH since May 1998. Ms. Weber is a Licensed Professional Counselor and received her Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Wayne State University. Amy has over six years of experience working as a crisis counselor for Common Ground.She also worked as a mental health clinician at New Center Community Mental Health Clinic for six years where she was responsible for developing clients’ treatment plans and completing psycho/social histories. She has diagnosed clients with various types of mental illnesses including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. She has done individual and group counseling and has acted as a liaison between family members and adult foster care providers. She also worked as an outpatient therapist for Insight Recovery Center. Ms. Weber has completed substance abuse evaluations for people who want to get their drivers license back as a result of their addiction. Ms. Weber recently received her Counseling Supervision certification and plans to assist “future counselors” in obtaining their counseling license. In 2007 Amy pass the ICRC exam.

Beverly J. Chisholm is an alumnus of undergraduate studies at Wayne County Community College (receiving with honors an associates of arts degree) and Wayne State University (receiving with honors a Bachelor of Social Work degree). Graduate studies at Wayne State University produced a Masters of Social work degree as a merit scholar with minors in English, Psychology and Sociology. Other than academia, Beverly enjoys spectating professional sporting events, the Theatre, reading, performing arts and historical research. Beverly has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, is a part of the United States Congressional and Senate Records for discussion on the "War on Drugs". Beverly is a seasoned administrator within the field of compassionate chemical dependency treatment where she records her greatest accomplishments as "the joy of mentoring someone through the process required to reclaim quality to daily living".

Dee Hicks is the Intake Coordinator for PNLH and assists in running the day-to-day operations. In addition to being responsible for the admission and discharge of all clients at PNLH’s Plymouth location, Dee has been employed at PNLH’s Plymouth location for 18 ½ years. Since becoming PNLH’s Intake Coordinator.
Dee has obtained her Associate’s Degree and is currently CAC-M certified. She is currently working toward her CAC Level II certification. She has experience working at Personalized Nursing Corporation on a government-funded contract for the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), gathering statistical data to demonstrate the spread of HIV among drug users. Dee has brought over 20 years of Substance Abuse treatment experience to PNLH & continues to work toward enhancing the growth and treatment experience as every client that enters PNHL’S doors. In 2007 Dee pass the ICRC exam.

Carlton received his Associate of Arts in Business Administration from Highland Park Community College. He received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Wayne State University. Currently, Carlton is intake assistant at all 3 sites & group facilitator.Carlton has over 17 years experience in the HIV/AIDS and substance abuse field. Also, as an outreach worker he has experience collecting data regarding high-risk AIDS behavior from his work on two NIDA funded project in Detroit. Finally, Carlton worked over two years at a juvenile detention facility with high-risk juvenile offenders. In 2007 Carlton pass the ICRC exam.

Jean Vaughn is a licensed clinical social worker. She received a BA from Purdue University in psychology and sociology and her MSW from the University of Illinois. She has experience as a medical social worker in a hospital and nursing home settings. Jean has also worked as a psychotherapist in a residential mental health facility for youth. Currently, she is an addictions counselor working with adults dealing with substance abuse/dependence, including those also diagnosed with mental illness. She continues to offer individual, group family, and couple’s counseling to meet the needs of the whole person. In 2008 Jean pass the ICRC exam.

Paul Niemiec graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Master of Arts degree in psychology counseling, and I’m a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor. I specialized in teaching communication and relationship building skills. I also practice Rational Emotion Behavioral Therapy, and use role playing skills to assist clients in exploring and practicing skills taught.

Rod Zielinski is a limited licensed professional counselor whose experience in the substance abuse field began with his internship for his MA in Community Counseling. In addition to conducting one-on-one counseling session, he has facilitated didactic and therapy groups, conducted intake sessions, written numerous assessments, and has conducted a number of drug and alcohol evaluations for the Michigan Secretary of State.

Teri Baker received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Michigan. Ms. Baker then spent seven years as a grief/loss counselor, first as the Resident Manager at the Ronald McDonald House in Ann Arbor and then making home visits and leading bereavement groups with Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor and Allen Park. Teri began working in the field of substance abuse in 1996, performing didactic, group and individual therapy sessions at Oakdale Recovery Center and PNLH. In 1998 she received a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University. In April 2000, Teri received the status of Certified Social Worker, which is now titled LMSW. She was the primary therapist at the Ann Arbor branch and then became their site director. When county budget cuts forced the closure of the Ann Arbor branch, Teri transferred to the Plymouth site and worked as a full-time therapist until the site director position became available in 2006. She is now site director in Plymouth, Clinical Director for Ann Arbor, Plymouth and Wayne sites and still hones her therapy skills by seeing clients for outpatient therapy. She holds the credentials of Certified Advanced Addiction Counselor and Certified Clinical Supervisor in Michigan. In 2007 Teri pass the ICRC exam.

She also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1992 from Eastern Michigan University, with a Major in Social Work.
